If using SKSE, you may need to rename the SKSE exe to something else in order to get the launcher to run. You can try disabling all texture mods to see if that works.ĭouble check to see if all mods are enabled in the Skyrim Launcher, it is possible that the game itself isn't loading all installed ESPs, etc. Verifying your game's files through Steam may help, but there's no guarantee.

If you're using MO, it's potentially your load order being an issue. If you're using NMM, Workshop or manually installing, it is possible some files are being overwritten or deleted that aren't supposed to be (or hypothetically there are blank textures somehow overwriting the default ones possibly maybe, I'm just speculating on that) Are you running LOOT to optimise your load order? Also how are you installing mods, is it through Nexus Mod Manager, Mod Organizer, Steam Workshop or are you doing it manually? If it's confined to particular clothing items like fine clothes and only with mods installed it's most likely something something in your load order having an issue. The purple thing is a missing textures issue. Here are some screenshots from Steam that I took: I have a GTX 970 FTW (drivers are up to date), and an Intel Xeon 1246 v3 (pretty much an i7-4770) so my hardware should be able to handle this all. It can be when I load into another area, decide to look at my inventory/smith items, it just happening slowly over time, etc. This problem doesn't happen immediately when the game starts, it is completely random. Once the whole purple textures/failing textures thing starts to happen, if I continue playing, the game WILL eventually CTD (crash to desktop for those of you that don't know what that means). I have tried nearly EVERYTHING: reorganizing my mod load order, lowering the games graphics settings down to high, boosting the games memory block usage to 512MB from the standard 256MB (which helps with CTD's), not using the official high res texture packs, changing Skyrim's ini files to work well with my mods, the ENB Booster mod, a mod that cleans saves, uninstalling Skyrim (3 - 4 TIMES at this point), and the list goes on. I've looked for hours at this point and am getting ridiculously irritated to the point where I don't even want to play the game even though I love it so much. Does anyone seriously not know how to fix this by now? I've heard of this being an issue for nearly 2ish years now (probably longer).
